We now booking for this coming Steelhead season!
Yes there are Steelhead around!
This photo on the left tells the whole story! Lot's of Steelhead in the river this year! Went down to the confluence @ Lewiston the other day and had a great time! Went had 7 hookups and landed 4. Not bad for early August! Have heard of other folks catching 10 to 15 Steelhead a day in the lower Clearwater! Most everyone that has been fishing have been catching! Now is the time to be on the river with your favorite fly rod! We currently have room for the prime fly catching part of the season. From now till Thanksgiving. the next 8weeks are by far the best for a fly rod. If you are serious about using a fly rod, you don't want to wait too long to book your trip! This is the height of our booking season.
http://fishandgame.idaho.gov/cms/fish/steelhead/dam_count.cfm How about those dam counts for Steelhead coming to Idaho! As of August 17th, the Steelhead counts @ Bonneville Dam are well above the 5 yr average and close to 1/3 higher then last years record counts! (2010 - 255,836) ( 2009 - 325,010) ( 5 yr avg. - 191,337) At Lower Granite dam the counts are over double last year and 3 times the 5 year average! ( 2010 - 17,927) ( 2009 - 8,278) (5 yr avg. - 5,559) Anyway you slice the pie, it's is going to be a WHOPPER of season!
Looks like catching is going to be a really good time this fall!
Contact us! We would love to take you catching!!!
Poke around and see how well we have been doing on the river! Lots of smiles and happy anglers! Yahhoooooo!!!
