Springer
fishing in Idaho!
Here at Jarrett's Guide Service
we like to chase big fish! As you can tell from our website, we can get some good ones
here! Our Spring Salmon season can really reap some giant rewards!
Yes even though we are 400
miles from saltwater, we still have one heck of a time catching
these giants! Since 1995 we have had some really great runs here! Some
have had as many as 100,000 chrome slime darts over Lower Granite dam
coming to Idaho!
Checkout the dam counts here: |
Salmon fishing here can
generally start in late April and can run through July. The best time to chase these
giants is from the opener thru mid-June. Our best catching is when the snow is melting in
the spring. As the flows peak and start subsiding, catching can get really good!. This a
really popular sport! Put this on your must do list! This one books quickly when we have a
season. We have had a season every year since 1995. In some years we get some giants! Like
25 lbs or better! The average Spring Chinook that comes here is 12 to 15 lbs! |
We are currently booking
for this coming Salmon season! If history repeats itself, we should see an
opener of late April! Lets hope for the huge numbers that have been
predicted!
Spring Chinook pricing:
$225.00 per person
IDFG has
set the Spring Chinook season. Opens on April 23, 2011. Limit is 3 a day
on the Clearwater and it's tributaries. Only one can be an adult. The
other 2 are Jacks. Jacks are classified as being under 24". The Lower
Clearwater will have enough fish around to catch by the 10th of May.
From what we are hearing down on the Lower Columbia, this years fish
size is really nice! Salmon averaging in the 20lbs. Have seen photo's of
some going over 25lbs! Gonna be a dandy season! Don't miss out!
